  31. I agree with the transceiver advice, but not the advice about antennas.
  32. Novices should not spend a lot of money on either rigs or antennas
  33. right away.   I recommend a dipole fed with ladder line and an
  34. antenna tuner.  This is an inexpensive, easy-to-install antenna that
  35. will work on 80m through 10m.  Once you get your feet wet, and once you 
  36. have some experience operating and know what your interests are, you can move
  37. up to the more expensive antennas.   Don't buy a beam right away: you
  38. may find that you don't have much interest in HF.
