  16. OK, folks, the clues for PCWC 7 are all in.  It's time to vote for
  17. your favorites.  (Both clue submitters and non-submitters are allowed
  18. to vote.)  The remaining relevant dates for PCWC 7 are:

  116. number.  To vote, send me a piece of Email that looks something like

  134. This specifies a partial ranking of the clue numbers, with
  135.  
  136. 3 = 7 > 5 = 4 = 1 > 8 = 2 = 6 
  137.  
  138. The first line contains the numbers of the clues you like best; the
  139. second line those you like second best, etc.  Within a line, list
  140. clues numbers that you like about equally well in any order.  Any clue
  141. numbers that don't appear in your ranking will be added at the end on
  142. a line by themselves; all equal and worse than any that you did list.
  143. If you are lazy, you can just send me a single number of the clue
  144. you like best; note, however, that the greater an effort you make
  145. to differentiate between all the clues, the more accurate the results
  146. will be.  If you list a number more than once, you will be sent
  147. to the farm, immediately.

  149. Should you wish to make critical comments regarding any or all of the
  150. clues, your comments will be sent along to the authors anonymously
  151. provided everything is clearly divided by clue and you don't present
  152. the kind moderator with an editing nightmare.
  153.  
  154. Please note that the lines with clue numbers in your voting should be
  155. bracketed by lines with only dashes, to facilitate automatic
  156. tabulation of the scores.
  157.  
  158. Both clue submitters and non-submitters are allowed to vote.  You ARE
  159. allowed to vote for your own clue, but please try to be honest.  Of
  160. course, one vote per person; DON'T use multiple accounts or aliases to
  161. stuff the ballot box or encourage your cronies and cohorts to vote for
  162. your clue just so you can win.

  166. The scoring will be as in tournaments, with 1 point for each better
  167. ranking and 1/2 point for a tie.  So, for example, based only on the
  168. votes of E. Pluribus above, the scoring (assuming there were 8 entries)
  169. would be
