- Hi,
-
- First of all : happy new year !
-
- After several posts and a lot of advices and informations (thanks :-)
- I have decided to get a FM2 body with the 24mm MF Sigma, the 28-70 Nikkor.
- I will also try to get a macro lense (55 Nikkor, 90 Tamron or tokina) and
- most probably a telephoto zoom to complete my equipment.
-
- I am considering the following zooms :
-
- 70-210 4/5.6 AF Nikkor
- 70-210 4/5.6 APO UC MF or AF Sigma
- 70-210 3.5/4.5 AP0 MF or AF Sigma
- 75-300 4.5/5.6 MF or AF Sigma
- 80-200 2.8 ATX MF Tokina
- 100-300 4.0 ATX MF Tokina
-
- I suppose that tests regarding some of these lenses have been reported
- during the past few years in the different photography periodicals.
- If someone can provide me with the conclusions of the tests, my choice
- may become really easier !
-
- I think that the design (and the performances) of the MF Tokinas are not
- the same as for the AF version (but I don't think I can afford one of
- the AF ATX). This may be true with the Sigma zooms too.
-
- If you feel you can help, please E-mail me at : cd2t+@andrew.cmu.edu
-
- If you want informations about the zooms qoted above, let me know. I will
- either forward the informations I will recieve or post a summary if enough
- people are interested.
-
- Thank you in advance.
-
- Christophe DUMAY.
