  11. I have read here about the toughness of Nikonos and Leicas. I cannot 
  12. dispute these claims as I have yet to be fortunate enough to own either of 
  13. these cameras. I am a hobby shutterbug and i am none too gentle with my 
  14. gear which consists of two old Pentax screw mount bodies, SP 500 and SP 
  15. 1000. Both cameras have had their share of drops onto various surfaces and 
  16. exposure to nasty Newfoundland liquid sunshine. Both show the signs of 
  17. their wear and tear but function beautifully. Especially when I use my 
  18. Zeiss lenses on them :) The only draw back is the stop down metering :( 
  19. which I don't mind so much as i have never had an auto exposure camera
