- From the question, I assume that you currently have no wide angles,
- except possibly the 35mm end of a 35-105 zoom.
-
- I have used both and prefer the 24mm. Currently I own a 20mm, but if
- you are just starting with wide angles, the 20 is not for you.
-
- The reason for my preference of the 24 over the 28 is that is gave me
- a little extra impact in my photographs, particularly existing-light
- interiors. It made a great combo with my 35-105 zoom. A 24 is as wide
- as you can go and still be able to get coverage with many popular portable
- flashes, like the Nikon SB-24.
-
- Another hint on using wide angles like the 24: if the filter thread
- diameter is not much larger than the front element, get a step-up ring
- for using filters. That will cut down on or avoid vignetting.
