- I have an 8008 (non-s), and I called 1-800-NIKONUS and the guy told me
- to use 2 (I think it was 2, maybe 3) forward biased silicon diodes to
- get the meter and AF to activate without releasing the shutter. I
- tried it and it and it worked.

- You have to be a bit careful, as the camera seems to be quite
- suseptible to capacitively coupled noise. I had to use a shielded
- cable to get things to work. Just twisted pair wasn't reliable.
