  13. Life expectancy for the giant breeds (Danes are a "giant breed") is around
  14. 8 years, I think.  Large dogs, like Akitas, are anywhere between 8-12
  15. years.  There are always *exceptions* and as long as your dog is healthy,
  16. who knows how long he'll live?
