- The most common explanation is filled anal sacs. Dogs have two little
- sacs with openings on each side of the anus. (About 7 and 4 o'clock)
- They tend to get filled with fluid and bother the dog, so he scoots along
- trying to relieve the problem. They usually get expressed as the dog has
- a bowel movement, but sometimes that doesn't work. Your vet can express
- them or you can do it yourself (have your vet show you).
