- Are you sure that you mean 100 square feet? That's only 10 X 10. I use this
- size kennel for my goldens for "bathroom breaks", but they can't use them for
- exercising. They could jump up and down, and take a few steps, but they can't
- "run" in them. Why do you think that a 100-square-foot outdoor kennel will
- give a dog more exercise than a 100-square-foot room indoors?
-
- The advantage that I can think of for a kennel area is that the dog doesn't need
- to be housebroken. However, there are many disadvantages to leaving dogs outside
- unattended for an entire work day (e.g., the dog might get stolen or fed
- something that would make him sick, or the dog might bark during the day and
- disturb the neighbors). Of course, this depends on where you live - some areas
- are "safe" to leave a dog unattended for a full day and other areas aren't
- "safe".
-
- IMHO there a few really good solutions to leaving a dog alone all day long.
- That's why I think the most important time is what you do with the dog after
- workhours. Unless, of course, you can leave your dog at "doggie day care"!!!!
