  18. Are you sure that you mean 100 square feet? That's only 10 X 10. I use this
  19. size kennel for my goldens for "bathroom breaks", but they can't use them for
  20. exercising. They could jump up and down, and take a few steps, but they can't
  21. "run" in them. Why do you think that a 100-square-foot outdoor kennel will
  22. give a dog more exercise than a 100-square-foot room indoors?

  24. The advantage that I can think of for a kennel area is that the dog doesn't need
  25. to be housebroken. However, there are many disadvantages to leaving dogs outside
  26. unattended for an entire work day (e.g., the dog might get stolen or fed
  27. something that would make him sick, or the dog might bark during the day and
  28. disturb the neighbors). Of course, this depends on where you live - some areas
  29. are "safe" to leave a dog unattended for a full day and other areas aren't
  30. "safe".

  32. IMHO there a few really good solutions to leaving a dog alone all day long.
  33. That's why I think the most important time is what you do with the dog after
  34. workhours. Unless, of course, you can leave your dog at "doggie day care"!!!!
