- I think a lot of us Canadians forget that there ARE differences between us
- and Americans sometimes! Specifically, I was SURE that there was no training
- of dogs allowed at obedience trials, but there were people blatantly training
- their dogs all over the place at the trail Dante and I attended earlier this
- month. I've since looked everywhere in my official CKC rulebook and can't
- find any reference to it...I guess I've just seen it so many times in
- American literature that I thought I'd seen it there too! I wish I'd known
- this before or I would have been practicing those long downs like CRAZY at
- that last show :)
-
- I just wanted to know what you all think of this difference in rules between
- the two countries. The rest of the rules seem to be almost identical. What
- about other countries, is anyone familiar with the rules regarding training
- on show grounds? WHY is no training allowed at American shows? Does anyone
- strongly feel that it should be allowed?
