  24. We bought the (almost) indestructible ball from R.C. Steele for our
  25. Norwegian Elkhound, Wotan.  He is crazy about basketballs and at first 
  26. he was crazy about the indest. ball  too. But on the evening of the
  27. first day, after he had played a lot with his new ball he seemed to be
  28. sore around his face.  Whenever we wanted to pet him there, he winced with
  29. pain and wouldn't allow it. I guess the ball is too hard for him to be
  30. pushing around for hours. He still plays with it but never that long again.
