- I had great success with the prong collar. I got an Old English Sheepdog when
- he was 4 yrs. old. He had apparently never been walked on a leash and
- his pull was incredible - there was no safe way I could walk him. I tried
- a choke collar but he just ignored it. A vet recommended the prong-type
- collar and it worked beautifully from the very beginning. The vet also
- said the collar is not nearly as bad as it looks - the prongs are blunt and
- seem to just pinch. Now I don't need to use it any more and my dog walks
- well on a leash.
