- My year and a half old, neutered generic black short hair has
- started licking plastic. He seems to specialize in licking those
- plastic bags that you get from the grocery store in lieu of paper
- bags. But, he does lick other types of crinkly plastic as well.
- He doesn't seem to actually chew or ingest the plastic and will
- happily lick away at the same spot on a bag for five or ten minutes
- if I let him.
- So, what I want to know is why is he doing this? He's got
- plenty of food and water and other toys and I don't think the plastic
- has anything on it (as he seems to go for most any crinkly plastic)
- that might taste good. Is he getting some cool tongue stimulus or
- something? What is the deal here?
