  11.     My year and a half old, neutered generic black short hair has
  12. started licking plastic.  He seems to specialize in licking those
  13. plastic bags that you get from the grocery store in lieu of paper
  14. bags.  But, he does lick other types of crinkly plastic as well.
  15. He doesn't seem to actually chew or ingest the plastic and will
  16. happily lick away at the same spot on a bag for five or ten minutes
  17. if I let him.
  18.     So, what I want to know is why is he doing this?  He's got
  19. plenty of food and water and other toys and I don't think the plastic
  20. has anything on it (as he seems to go for most any crinkly plastic)
  21. that might taste good.  Is he getting some cool tongue stimulus or
  22. something?  What is the deal here?
