- Yup. Cats can carry toxoplasmosis which is way bad news if you're
- pregnant, although I have also heard that undercooked meat is actually
- a more common source of it. (Can anyone confirm this?) If you've had
- cats all your life, you may have already been exposed and be immune. If so,
- the danger is past. A blood test can verify your immunity. I know all this
- because when I had a bad case of giardia (shudder), toxoplasmosis was
- one of the things they looked for.
