  11. I recently bought a female canary to mate with my male.  I have several
  12. questions, and I was wondering if anyone might know the anwers.  Is it
  13. normal for them to fight and if so to what extent?  My birds seem to
  14. fight in the morning and the late evening.  It usually seems to be over
  15. food or the prime sleeping spot on the top perch.  I solved the fighting
  16. over the perch by putting two perches up top, but they still fight over
  17. their food.  I seperated them once and soon found blood in both their
  18. droppings.  I talked with the vet and she told me they were stressed.  I
  19. suppose I should not have separated them??? Has anyone seen this sort of
  20. behavior with canaries? Does anyone have any advise or word of wisdom?
