- Per the Caidan Marshall's Handbook, helms here are required to be
- constructed of '...16 gauge steel or its equivalent (note: regardless of
- the gauge indicated, the steel must be at least 0.0625"\ 1.6 mm \ 1/16"
- in thickness." I presume that, absent any adverse ruling(s) by either
- the Earl Marshal here in Caid or the Society's Marshall, some aluminum
- alloy might be used (say, 6061) but... I agree with your point re mass.
- I do NOT want my cervical spine to take any shock that can be absorbed by
- the mass of my helm.
