  29. With all due respect, Steve, what you've given here is a valid
  30. potential explanation of what you've observed, but remember that
  31. the conclusion is a generalization which theists may not have
  32. observed.  I myself have seen instances of that kind of "I've
  33. killed a dozen people, but now I want to put that behind me"-kind
  34. of reasoning, but there is no shortage of rationalizing in people
  35. of all beliefs.
