  13. Oh My God Hot Well is 2.8 miles west of Salton City just off of Highway
  14. S22. It's south of S-22 just a few miles on dusty but passable dirt road.
  15. You can see the smear of green plants from the highway and there is usually
  16. a number of vehicles parked in the vicinity. The road comes right up to the
  17. spring and continues on to the badlands area. The site is on a wide, low
  18. plain and is surounded by sparse vegitation (except by the pools). The
  19. spring, actually a well issues from about an 8 inch pipe and is very
  20. hot.The water is lead to a series of pools that get progressivily cooler.
  21. The are can accomodate a large number of visiters and is quite popular over
  22. the Holiday Season with a lot of folks staying for months.

  24. If you come from Borrego Springs, watch as you approach the town of Salton
  25. City. The turn off is shortly after you descend from high plateau to the
  26. flood plain of the Salton Sea. The dirt road is marked by a sign that says
  27. "Road not Maintained" or something similar.

  29. The Camping Bares will be there over the New Years holiday. If you come,
  30. watch for my black Nissan 4x4 with a silver camper shell.
