- I'm currently using Beyond for general-purpose sequencing and using UpBeat for
- creating drum machine patterns. I usually end up working first in UpBeat and
- then exporting the rhythm patterns as a MIDI file to Beyond. I would much
- prefer to do everything with a single sequencer, so my question is does anyone
- know of a Mac sequencer that allows you to edit MIDI data using the standard
- piano scroll as well as using a drum machine interface (an interface that displays
- drum voice names on the left side of the edit window instead of a piano keyboard)?
-
- I've read that Steinberg's Cubase will fit the bill (in fact, it additionally
- allows for editing in standard notation), so I'm wondering if anyone would care
- to offer an opinion of Cubase on the Mac?
