  16.     I just thought I would take this net.lull to wish 
  17. everyone the very best holiday season (whatever your religious
  18. persuation).  This time of year is a time when we take recount
  19. of all the good things in our lives.  I am personally thankful
  20. that Phish is around, confiming the fact that there are still
  21. bands (musicians) out there that care about their fans and
  22. are determined to make music that isn't hateful, rotten, 
  23. judgemental, or just out to make a quick buck.  I was getting
  24. so down about the whole music scene, what with all the Vanilla Ice's
  25. and Ice T's stealing songs and singing about killing cops.  
  26. Not that I don't think these issues (killing, homeless, etc.) need
  27. to be addressed - they do -, but I was so glad when I finally found
  28. a band that I could just LISTEN to.  It didn't make me feel 
  29. guilty, ashamed, etc.  it was just really good catchy music 
  30. to listen to.   So I guess I just wanted to publicly say thanks
  31. to Phish for the effort.  
  32. If Phish should somehow be reading this, thanks Page, Trey, Mike
  33. and Jon, for caring about the music and, more importantly, the 
  34. attitude that it should display and be conveyed with.  In other words, 
  35. thanks for the effort.  It really is worth it.  People notice it
  36. and are moved by it.  Who knows? It may even change the world.
