- This just in from the newswire (well, the office fax machine
- anyway)... PEOPLE magazine (that bastion of taste and style) has
- listed Picture of Nectar among it's "Worst of Song" for 1992.
-
- "PHISH A Picture of Nectar: This neo-hippie outfit plays a proficient fusion
- of jazz, rock and funk. But this album's pervasive jokiness is insufferable-
- a mix of Dungeons & Dragons, bong culture and computer-nerd-speak (Elektra)."
-
-
- There's a cool picture of the band, with the caption "PHISH Mike Gordon,
- Jon Fishman, Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell a-swim in the first and
- we hope last neo-hippie, techno-nerd fusion."
-
- Well golllll-eee!!! If they dropped the word "but" replaced the word
- "insufferable" with "outrageous", it would be a great little snippet!!
- I think the reviewer is taking things a little too seriously to have
- a good time ;-)
