- Hi,
-
- Per your request...
-
- George Wallace
-
- c/o Larger than Life Music
- 10 Belmont Sq.
- Doylestown, PA 18901 USA
-
- I first heard Georges tape 'Sacred Earth' on Starsend a few years back
- and was immediately enthralled. Its very serene, spacey and earthy all at the same time. Wallace uses percussion in the same manner as David
- Parsons, just enough to get the point across.
-
- 'Garden of Dreams' according to Wallace "explores those mysterious
- realms where the hearts and souls of children dwell; the dream state where
- young spirits play...", you get the picture. More dynamic and percussive
- than 'Sacred Earth'. At times sounding like 'Dream Time Return' era Roach.
- The last cut on the second side even conjures up the David Sylvian/Holger
- Czukay sound.
-
- 'Communion' (CD or CS) is a much more developed work, sounding some times like Mark Dwane and at other times like David Parsons or Iasos but
- always with Wallaces own style, his best IMHO.

-
- Don Slepian
-
- His early release 'Computer Don't Breakdown' is a spacey classic and
- sadly long out of print. Don remixed and rereleased it as 'Sonic
- Perfume',though. His releases on Fortuna, 'Sea of Bliss' and 'Rhythm of
- Life' are much like Steve Roach in his 'Quiet Music'/'Structures From
- Silence' phase. I don't know if 'Plaisir Synthetique' has been officially
- released.

-
-
- Thom Brennan
-
- c/o TMB Music
- 24256 Hatteras St.
- Woodland Hills, CA 91367 USA
-
- Thom has only one release that I know of so far, 'Mountains'. When
- Chuck Vanzyl first played it on Starsend, I thought it was the best thing
- that Software had ever done! Only after the break did I learn that it was
- Thom Brennan. He wrote me back that he expects to have a new release as
- well as a CD release of 'Mountains'. Produced by Steve Roach.
-
- -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
- Don Robertson
-
- A favorite of Archie (Eurock) Patterson and apparently a personal
- friend as well. He's written several letters/editorials to Eurock over the
- years. His music is very heavy on the Synclavier. His first, 'Star Music'
- is his best, IMHO. I think all his releases are available on Fortuna.
-

-
- ..and while I'm at it, write to:
-
- Perry Thompson He sent me his cassette 'Sleeping Giants' for
- 70 Sproul Rd. free. Its very Burmer-esque.
- Malvern, PA 19355 USA
-
-
- All of these guys make great music, check them out!
