  13. OK, so what is a good choice of low-noise op amp for typical guitar preamps
  14. with single-source 9V? I previously was trying the LM324, mainly because I 
  15. had one laying around.

  17. Also, I read once about an NEC chip that's a 5-band EQ. Has anyone played
  18. with it? Does it make for good quality EQ yet cheap and easy to build?
  19. How many extra components does it need? Hopefully no more than one resistor
  20. and maybe one cap per band?
