  13. My wife is in the market for a new mic.  She has looked at a few
  14. and feels the Beyer M-88 "road" model is nice and she has used it
  15. before so it is familiar.  She can get a new one for $325-340.
  16. However a musician friend has offered her a 5 month-old AKG C1000S
  17. for $175.  She doesn't know anything about the C1000S except from
  18. her friend's comments.  He lives in another state so going to
  19. see the mic is not practical.  Could anyone tell us how these two
  20. compare?  My wife sings a lot of R&B-style music.
