  21. I guess this person has never heard any (old) ELP.  Emerson's keyboards are 
  22. neither superfluous or 'nice.'  I could give a lot of other jazz/prog-rock
  23. examples as well....

  25. I would agree, however, that most keyboard PARTS that have been written
  26. for pop/rock (including, obviously, any written by your sax player friend!) 
  27. suck.  This is due to a fault with the imaginations of most musicians,
  28. rather than a fault with synthesizers.
