  13. I don't know which night it was, but during the New Years run (1991) 
  14. someone from BGP or the GD organization made a friendly announcement 
  15. before the show.

  17. The gist was: It's fine to save a seat for your dear friend or SO or 
  18. someone going to the bathroom; but it't just not fair to others to 
  19. reserve blocks of seats for people who didn't go through the motions of 
  20. trying for a good seat themselves  (probably a totally inadequate 
  21. summation of a friendly and well thought out announcement).

  23. The announcement was greeted with a fair amount of cheers of agreement, 
  24. and Barb and I used the opportunity to sit down on the periphery of a 
  25. large block of empty seats; with no objection from the "guard".

  27. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea if that this announcement were repeated, 
  28. or even included with mail order tickets.
