  11. One of my XMas presents this year was a compilation of old songs
  12. by the Scottish band Nazareth, and I didn't know this before but
  13. the CD liner notes say that they "took their name from the first
  14. verse of Robbie Robertson's 'The Weight', a song by The Band..."

  16. Hmmm...I was way into Nazareth and The Band when I was younger but
  17. never knew that...

  19. (For the two or so 'heads out there who haven't at least heard the
  20. Dead doing "The Weight", that first verse is:

  22.  "I pulled into Nazareth, I was feelin' 'bout half past dead..." )

  24. BTW, the comp includes a pretty neat "Morning Dew" from their
  25. _Malice in Wonderland_ LP; musically nothing like the Boys' version,
  26. but more folk/rockish.
