- According to ChangesBowie, Fame was recorded in February of '75
- and released in August. According to Star Time, Hot was recorded
- in September-October '75, and released in December. I've listened
- to them, and played them for some friends, and we all agree that the
- two instrumental tracks are identical as far as we can tell (though
- the version of Fame on ChangesBowie has been remixed). It's also
- interesting to note that this is the only track from Star Time that
- has "unidentified accompaniment"--all the others have the musicians
- clearly identified.
-
- I wonder if James didn't borrow the backing track from Bowie, with
- permission of course....
