- It depends what you're talking about. Is it safe to assume that there weren't
- any disks priced higher just because the top price you paid was $14? :-)

- In Boston, folk imports can run anywhere from $12 to $22 depending on the store
- and the label. Topic imports seem to run between $14 and $17. UK blues
- records seem to demand the top prices. Shanachie reissues of Topic releases
- tend to run at $14.

- Here in Boston we're blessed with cut-throat price wars with all of the major
- players (Tower, HMV, the Coop) honoring (even second tier) competitor's
- coupons, which are have been $3 off ($11.99 or greater regular price) since
- November. HMV's holiday present was a $4 off coupon ($9.99 regular!). And
- there's no limit. Yesterday I picked up 8 CD's and got $3 off each--after
- shopping around for the cheapest regular price ($11.99).
