- In answer to Daniel Rosenblum's inquiry...Victory Music is a 22-year-old
- non-profit, all-volunteer music co-operative in Washington state. They
- publish a monthly magazine called Victory Review with a lot of info
- about Washington folk happenings (and national ones too), they sponosr
- concerts and other events, and have released at least 3or 4 CDs and tapes
- of area musicians.
- One of these is "Victory Sings at Sea," a 19-track CD of shanties and
- songs ranging from mostly trad stuff to a few by Stan Rogers, Andy M.
- Stewart, and Cyril Tawney. This is available for $11.50 for the CD or
- $9.50 for a cassette from Victory Music, PO Box 7515, Bonney Lake, WA
- 98390, telephone 206-863-6617.
- They also have a CD by Linda Allen and two more samplers. (The Sea
- album is a sampler -- that is, lots of different singers from NW USA.)
- I'm not associated with them, but they've sent me this disc for my radio
- show and some info about themselves, from which I've gleaned the above.
