  12. Sound like an interesting proposition?  I think so.  These LPs, issued
  13. in the mid to late 60s, recorded as BBC broadcasts in the late 50s and 
  14. early 60s, have been long out of print, and command high prices if you
  15. can find them.  I just paid $50 for one, the most I've ever spent on one
  16. record.

  18. Anyway, the good folks at the Smithsonian are considering issuing a boxset
  19. of them all (6 to 8?  I forget), with some nudging from Peggy Seeger (who
  20. did all the music for these, though in true pre-feminist era style she did
  21. not get equal billing with the other two).

  23. They need some idea of public interest, so I urge you to write to them and
  24. say you heard and think it's a great idea - many of you may even volunteer
  25. that you would buy such a package.

  27. Personally, I think these are of such historical importance that they need
  28. to be available again, even if in limited quantities, so that they can at
  29. least be bought by libraries and thus made available for generations to come.
