  11. New Age is some of the most atrocious "music" I have heard, seeming to  
  12. begin from the false hypothesis that you can create something entirely  
  13. "new" without any influences.  Enya on the other hand, has a very modern  
  14. sounding music, with a very "new" sound, but she is entirely true to her  
  15. folk roots, and does not make the pretentious claim of having created  
  16. something "new".  I've never listened to Clannad, but from reading the  
  17. lists they sound similar to Enya.
