- Michael Willett was kind enough to post a review of the Longy student
- concert.
-
- Well, I happened to be one of the performers in that concert, and
- wanted to point out a couple of corrections/omissions in his review...
- First of all, the "Longy renaissance wind band" (the group I'm part
- of) is named "I Piffari", and is coached by Dan Stillman.
-
- There was a mistake in the program with respect to our second set; "O
- Voy" came first, and was followed by the other two works. A couple
- of people in the audience referred to I Piffari as being "Loud and in
- tune", which is one of the highest compliments possible for a band
- containing shawms....
-
- Our next performance is as part of the Longy early music dept. concert
- currently scheduled for 18 January 1993.
-
- (Disclaimer: I'm a amateur trombonist still learning sackbut).
