- Paganini was accused of having sold his soul to the devil.
- In addition to his theatrics (as mentioned in another posting), he tuned his
- violin to a different key than the standard one - he was able to play
- combinations of notes that would be impossible with the standard tuning.
- Witnesses to one of his concerts claimed that lighting came out of his
- fingertips while he played. Supposedly he came very close to being killed
- for being in league with the devil.
