  12. Paganini was accused of having sold his soul to the devil.

  14. violin to a different key than the standard one - he was able to play
  15. combinations of notes that would be impossible with the standard tuning.
  16. Witnesses to one of his concerts claimed that lighting came out of his
  17. fingertips while he played.  Supposedly he came very close to being killed
  18. for being in league with the devil.
