  14. Concerning Wunderlich's Schoene Muellerin, no one has mentioned that he
  15. released two recordings: (from memory) 1955, available here on Nonesuch,
  16. and 1965 on DG.  I love both these, and they're perfect representations
  17. of, repectively, a really young great voice and a more mature great
  18. voice, with emphasis on great both times.  The early one conveys youth
  19. and innocence in the most direct way: he's actually young, and I suspect
  20. that the impression of innocence isn't acting.  The later recording adds
  21. depth to the reading.  I find Wunderlich exemplary for this music.
