  11. I just got the DGG Mahler 3rd and 7th by Bernstein from the library, both of
  12. which are allegedly "live" recordings. I wonder -- how do they eliminate the
  13. sound of applause from the end of these recordings? Surely, the audience must
  14. have responded enthusiastically! By the way, I have to say this 3rd is really
  15. outstanding. If I didn't have the Horenstein already, I would probably buy it
  16. myself (come to think of it, my favorite CD store is having a 20% off sale
  17. which ends tomorrow...).
