- Cambridge, MA--December 14, 1992--The New England Conservatory's
- Sharon Lavery thrilled a very enthusiastic audience last night with her
- Masters of Music recital, accompanied by impressive violin
- performances by Carolyn Kalhorn and Louise Owen, among others.
-
- Lavery started off with Mozart's Quintet in A Major, K.581 and, after
- intermission, switched to Rozsa's Sonatina for Clarinet Solo, Op. 27.
- These successes were followed by Debussy's Premiere Rhapsodie and Arnold's
- Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano. She then demonstrated her versatility
- by concluding with a modern Bill Douglas piece, Sky, accompanied
- by keyboard, base and drums. It was an altogether enjoyable evening.
- Big things can be expected from this talented performer as she pursues
- her clarinet career at home in New York.
