there was a Searaphim LP of Shostakovich playing Preludes and Fugues
nos. 6, 7, 8, 20, 22 and 24 in mono some time back (I have a fairly
clean copy) I have no idea if these would stem from the same sessions
or not.

Much material that the USSR seized from Germany has been returned to
the West in the last few years - the DG 10CD Furtwaengler set was
drawn from such tapes, for example - so this could well be something
which is on the cards. Let's hope so.
