- Just to clear up a point, the titles "Vespers" and "All Night Vigil" have
- become interchangeable in the English translation. As for the recording of
- the work with the USSR State Choir i will agree that it is lovely, even though
- my first hearing of it was on LP. Yet another wonderful recording (which i got
- because my mentor sings in the choir) is Robert Shaw's. The tenor solo in
- two of the movements leaves a bit to be desired, but the choral parts are
- vintage Shaw.
