- Allow me to suggest another Shostakovich 'goodie' that is a) low-priced
- and b) widely available. I refer to the 1966 recording of the 10th
- symphony by Von Karajan and the Berlin PO. Karajan's output was certainly
- variable in quality, but this is one of his best, and for me the most
- convincing exposition of this piece.
