- I heard a report on PBS last night that the Russians have opened up a fantastic
- (a word I normally avoid) archive of old recordings including, for example,
- Shostakovich performing his Op. 87 preludes and fugues, and many other
- wonderful and unheard treasures. The report also mentioned a Western audio
- company working with them and the very high quality remastering that the
- Russians can do. Does anyone know when and how any of this will be made
- available? Or what delights we can look for to come from it?
