- In my opinion, men look better with short hair, and women look
- better with long hair. There is a problem in 1Cor 11, with saying there
- is no problem, but Paul say's vs 16 "if any man seem to be contentoius,
- we have no such custom, neither the churches of God"
-
- I used to have long hair, but it didn't mean much to me. I could
- have it either way, and I wouldn't miss long hair in the summer, and I
- wouldn't miss short hair in the winter. There's nothing more spiritual
- about a woman having a doylie on her head, and that is what some
- churches have done with this passage.
-
- I have friends who have long hair, and that's fine with me, but
- they seem to get so defensive about it. I saw a singer who told teh
- croud that guys who get saved, and keep their hair short are just being
- religious. The attitude in some people like that with long hair *IS*
- detrimental to them, but the only harm I see in the hair is if they are
- working around machinery, or in food service without a hat on.
-
- I like the way Mike Warnke portrayed the essence of what Stacy
- said about Samson. He said that in response to why he doesn't cut his
- hair, he says, "The only cause of blindness in the Bible was a haircut."
-
- If God is convicting you to cut your hair, I wouldn't ignore it.
- But if it is really just people playing the Holy Spirit to you, then of
- course they are out of line. Don't judge them back, because we all at
- times have known someone who we didn't think God was dealing with
- sufficiently, so we are tempted to help out. (Well I have anyway.)
-
- God bless you, Hippie (-;
