  14. The following appeared in todays (23rd Dec's) "Scotsman" newspaper.

  19. President Fidel Ramos appealed yesterday to King Fahd of Saudi Arabia
  20. to spare two Filipinos reported to be facing execution on Christmas
  21. day for preaching Christianity in the Islamic country.

  23. Oswaldo Magdangal and Renato Posedio have been in prison in Saudi
  24. Arabia for two months after allegedly trying to build a Christian
  25. church.

  31. Can I suggest that we all pray that the King will have mercy and
  32. commute or repeal the sentences.  Maybe we should also pray for the
  33. Christians who will be commemorating Christ's birth in secret in Saudi
  34. and other countries, and thank God for our own freedom to worship.
