- (1) The European Classics labels has begun releasing disks by
- Fats Waller and by Ethel Waters. For those unfamiliar with
- the label, they release the complete chronological recordings
- of class jazz performers. They release them one CD at a time,
- so it may take a few years to complete an artists catalogue
- (Fletcher Henderson's 13 disks took more than two years to
- appear.)
-
- (2) ASV records has just released a CD collection of Andrews
- Sisters recordings from 1937-1940. This is one of the few
- cases where there is little overlap between ASV and Pro
- Arte when both labels release collections of the same artist.
