- Like I say, this photo looks quintessential jazz-hip to me. It never
- occured to me (consciously at least) that any of the four were at high
- at the time; but it doesn't change my opinion of the image. Whether
- Haden was "struggling to keep his head upright" or posed that way by a
- savvy Atlantic photographer, it's a great photo which perfectly
- captures the essence of early 60s cool.
