  29. Like I say, this photo looks quintessential jazz-hip to me. It never
  30. occured to me (consciously at least) that any of the four were at high
  31. at the time; but it doesn't change my opinion of the image. Whether
  32. Haden was "struggling to keep his head upright" or posed that way by a
  33. savvy Atlantic photographer, it's a great photo which perfectly
  34. captures the essence of early 60s cool.
