  21. Two concerts, one of which is essential listening. The Coltrane
  22. portion was recorded in mid 1960 and shows the band in a Kind Of Blue
  23. mode, but with more extended and energetic performances. Sound quality
  24. is very good. I would say this is the best Miles/Trane live date - in
  25. fact, one of the best live acoustic Miles dates - currently available.

  27. The show with Stitt is from late 1960 and to me, it's so-so. The live
  28. dates with Hank Mobley from 1961 are stylistically similar but feature
  29. better performances by Miles, imho (the Blackhawk sets, for instance).
  30. Unless you're a completist, you could skip this one, imho. Sound
  31. quality is good.

  35. of the Stitt date doesn't have all the material available in this new
  36. set.
