  19. I'm not quite sure what "less sound quality" means. To me, it sounds
  20. like a typical mid-70s concert recording of a medium size electric
  21. band. Not great, not bad. The cd remaster is ok, somewhat less
  22. cluttered than the lp version but not shrill and thin like some early
  23. Sony cd remasters (and also not overly compressed like many NoNoise
  24. remasters).

  29. You mean any Sony Miles Davis cd reissues? I wouldn't say that any
  30. have "extremely poor sound", but in many cases the cd versions are
  31. worse than than the lps.

  33. There are a number of Miles bootlegs out with pretty bad sound but in
  34. nearly every case, the choice is bad sound or none at all (ie the
  35. material isn't available in any other form). Like any serious fan of
  36. Miles, I would always choose the former.

  39.    later see them released here in the states in a remastered form.

  42. Dark Magus may not be released domestically at all - after all, the lp
  43. never was. Even if it is, I wouldn't expect that further remastering
  44. will improve the sound.
