- I got a lot of enjoyment out of "And His Mother Called Him Bill", a mememorial
- to Billy Strayhorn.
-
- My all-time favorite Ellington album when I was growing up in the 50's
- was Uptown, has a great extended version of The Mooche, and a free-for-all
- jam on Perdido, Betty Roche's great vocal on A-Train, and other great stuff.
- The CD I recently got is as good as I remember it.
-
- The OJC album featurning Paul Gonsalves is very good too.
-
- ...there are lots more...
