  24. I,too,take issue with that assumption. This morning, when logging in, I had a 
  25. whopping total of 6 new, unread articles in r.m.bn. Assuming our newserver is 
  26. functioning properly (not always a safe assumption :-)), it's hard for me to 
  27. imagine how ~any~ type of jazz/blues-related thread could be "crowded out".

  29. One reason folks who favor some type of split always fail, is that they
  30. are unable to show that the total ~volume~ of posts to r.m.bn warrants
  31. ~any~ type of fractionation. i.e., there is room for ~everyone~!

  33. If there's a group of folks anxious to talk about "Big Band and other early 
  34. jazz forms", let's see posts about the ~music~, not hand wringing about splitting
  35. the group.
