- Does anyone know if Capitol ever actually issued a digitally remastered LP of
- Sgt. Pepper? I mean, I've got one from just last year that has the CD catalog
- number, 46442, but if you look at the run-off grooves, you find the old
- number, 2653, scratched out and the new one written in. So, this is not a
- remastering.
- But, in <THE BOOK>, Lewisohn mentions that Capitol issued both remastered
- cassettes and LP's, both of which had the run-off & inner groove noises from
- the original LP. This one doesn't have that.
- If anyone has such a Capitol LP, did they actually cut it into the inner groove
- like the British, or did they just play the CD loop and cut it into the
- regular record?
